Overview
The Rental Anything app is a versatile platform that allows users to browse, select, and order a wide range of rental items in one place. Users can search for products, add them to a cart, and place orders directly—streamlining the process from enquiry to confirmed rental.
Purpose of the App
The purpose of the app is to enable a seamless rental experience by letting users search, select, add to cart, and order rental items all within the platform. It empowers users to act quickly—whether they’re renting tools, equipment or other products—without needing to submit separate enquiries or wait for offline confirmation.
Problem Statement
Prior to this solution, users could view rental items but had to submit enquiries and wait for manual responses—making the process slow, fragmented and unreliable. The absence of a full cart-to-order workflow and real-time order placement led to missed opportunities, low conversion and frustrated users. The challenge was to design an intuitive rental app that supports full search, selection and ordering workflows, with minimal friction for users and providers.

Conclusion
The Rental Anything app successfully streamlined the process of discovering and renting products across various categories. By enabling users to search, compare, and place orders directly, the platform bridged the gap between traditional enquiry-based systems and modern e-commerce convenience. The project enhanced the brand’s digital presence and created a smooth, reliable experience for both renters and providers.
If there was more time available…
If more time were available, I would focus on integrating real-time availability tracking and in-app communication between renters and providers to reduce dependency on external channels. Additionally, I’d explore AI-driven recommendations to help users find relevant items faster and enhance personalization.
